Coping with COVID-19: Episode One
As you may know, we are still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Recently, the Oklahoma State Board of Education closed all public schools in Oklahoma as of Tuesday, March 17, and transitioned into distance-learning. This pandemic has also affected employment for many, businesses and organizations, as many events are having to be rescheduled.
Through this time, the community has recognized the importance of physical and mental health, and the need for us to practice social distancing to stop the spread of the virus.
As an organization, we are passionate about serving our community and we strive to continue despite the circumstances. However Governor Kevin Stitt's declaration of the state of emergency, our clean-ups through the City of Oklahoma City will be postponed, along with our upcoming events. This does not stop our involvement in the community as we are continuously seeking ways to support our communities.
Until we meet again, we will begin our “Coping with COVID-19” talks that will take place every Saturday at 6 p.m. We will be joined by a special guest each week to tackle different topics in regards to the various ways we may all be handling the pandemic!
