Selfless Hands Foundation will host the Second Annual Community Resource Fair where attendees are provided the opportunity to gather and exchange information from different agencies tabling the event. Agencies present at the Resource Fair provide services ranging from mental health, family support, legal services, and much more.

Selfless Hands Foundation is committed to providing local community members with the best Halloween experience. There are many factors that could prevent families and their children from experiencing trick-or-treating and having fun with other families, such as, transportation, financial constraints, environmental or safety concerns. Keeping the factors in mind, our organization hosts an annual Trunk-or-Treat event with carnival games, candy and music! Our goal is to bring happiness to every child who desire to have a memorable Halloween evening.

How can I support?

For this event, we are accepting volunteers and candy donations. We are seeking volunteers to host a trunk or assist in face-painting and carnival game stations. All monetary donations will be used for candy to support over 500 families and children.

Our 5th Annual Back-to-School event will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Ice Event Center & Grill. At this event, we will provide backpacks, school supplies and hygiene products to families before school begins on August 10, 2023.

Food, Sno-cones, games and entertainment will be provided.

Donations of backpacks, pencils, scissors, spiral notebooks, glue sticks, composition books, markers, paper, pencil sharpeners and other supplies are needed, or a financial donation to purchase these items.

Join us for the "Vibes and Supplies Brunch Day Party," hosted by the Selfless Hands Foundation and the Delta Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, at Spiked, a Coffee Concept, from 12 to 3 pm. We will be fundraising for our Fifth Annual Back-to-School Bash, with all proceeds supporting this event. We kindly ask for your support by bringing the following items: 3-Prong Folders, Black Pens, Blue Pens, Crayons, Colored Pencils, Erasers, Glue Sticks, Highlighters, Notebook Paper, Pencils, Pencil Holders, Rulers, Spiral Notebooks, and Standard Backpacks.

Alongside our philanthropic efforts, enjoy live music, indulge in an all-you-can-eat brunch catered by Roski Toasty, and purchase refreshing drinks. Prepare for a day filled with fun, entertainment, and the opportunity to make a difference in our community.

Selfless Hands Foundation and Moms Demand Action - OK are coming together to raise awareness for National Gun Violence Awareness Day, which is recognized on June 3, 2023.

We will embark on our first summer community project to beautify our adopted street in OKC (an area disproportionately impacted by crime and gun violence), stock our community food pantry boxes, and assist and feed our local community members in need in Northeast Oklahoma City.

What is “Wear Orange”?

On January 21, 2013, Hadiya Pendleton marched in President Obama’s second inaugural parade.

One week later, Hadiya was shot and killed on a playground in Chicago. Soon after this tragedy, Hadiya’s friends commemorated her life by wearing orange, the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others.

Wear Orange is now observed every June. Thousands of people wear the color orange to honor Hadiya and the more than 40,000 people who are killed with guns and approximately 85,000 who are shot and wounded every year.

Selfless Hands Foundation and Moms Demand Action of Oklahoma are coming together to raise awareness for National Gun Violence Awareness Day, which is recognized on June 5, 2022.

The Wear Orange campaign is dedicated to remember lives lost to gun violence and to raise awareness about this public health crisis. Every day, more than 110 Americans are killed with guns and more than 200 are shot and wounded. With recent events in the US, we have reached 27 school shootings and over 210 mass shootings in 2022 alone.

During National Gun Violence Awareness Day and Wear Orange Weekend, join us as we honor survivors of gun violence for a day of community service.

We will meet at Thelma R. Parks Elementary School, where we will clean the street, plant the new Blessing Box (community pantry) and feed community members in need.
