Acts of Service

Following the first donation drive in Baton Rouge, Raven Crisp and the former Miss Black Oklahoma State University, Alicia Johnson, held a drive, collecting condolences cards for the family of the shooting victim, Terence Crutcher in September 2017. The drive collected over hundreds of sympathy cards from Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Stillwater, faculty and students of Oklahoma State University and individuals from other states. On April 10, 2018, the organization collected bread, peanut butter, jelly, chips, bottled water and snacks to make lunch bags for the Tulsa Public School teachers. The Tulsa-area teachers participated in the teachers’ walkout for increased education funding and marched to Oklahoma State Capitol. With the help of over sixteen volunteers, over 200 lunches were provided to the teachers.

Raven Crisp conducted several clothing drives to support Our Sisters’ Closet in Oklahoma City. Our Sisters’ Closet is a YWCA shop, supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. In the summer of 2018, Raven Crisp also collected items and meals to provide to the homeless in Downtown Oklahoma City.  In the November 2018, Selfless Hands Foundation provided a grandmother, who had emergency custody of her five grandchildren, with two beds for the children.

The organization hosted its first gift-wrapping event on December 22, 2018 at the Ice Event Center in Northeast Oklahoma City. The organization wrapped gifts for free and accepted donations as tips.

There will be more opportunities to pour into the community throughout the year.
