Let's Talk About January!

Woooow! Can you believe that we’re in 2022 already!? It seems like time really flew from our first Selfless Saturday of 2021 to now!

On Saturday, January 8, 2022, we held our first Selfless Service project of the year! We had an amazing time, cleaning the streets on N.E. 23rd Street to N.E. 36th Street and North Prospect Avenue. After cleaning the streets, we stocked our blessing box, located on N.E. 33rd Street and North Lottie Avenue. Following the restocking, we headed to Ice Event Center for Brunch and designed posters for the M.L.K. Parade.

On January 17, 2022, the Selfless Hands Foundation had the privilege in participating in the 42nd MLK Parade. This marks our fourth year partnering with the OKC MLK Coalition, and we look forward to this event every year.

Words from our Community Action Chair, Jordan Gilbert: “It was a very memorable experience! From seeing the other participants in the parade dancing, showing off their cars, and promoting their businesses to the smiles on the childrens faces. It was heart warming, and what better day than MLK day to see children of all colors, and ages ACTUALLY getting together for a celebration for the things he fought for.”

Join us on Saturday, February 12, 2022, for our 4th anniversary celebration at the W OKC Event Center from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be lots of entertainment, food, music and raffles. We look forward to seeing you there!
